Hapro Group is looking to import fresh fruits (apple, grape, cherry), nutritious nuts (pistachio, hazelnut), dairy products, wine and other consumer goods from the U.S to bring to the Vietnamese market. They aim to import about 100 million U.S goods to Vietnam in 2019.
On June 4, 2019 Sacramento MBDA Export Center introduced seven (7) clients to meet with this major importer from Vietnam, at the Vietnam General Consulate in San Francisco in hopes to provide this opportunity to minority-owned businesses.
Hapro Corporation is one of the leading corporations in Vietnam with businesses in export, import, production, wholesale and retail. Hapro manages about 400 supermarkets and convenient stores under brand names: Hapromart, Haprofood, chain of restaurants and cafeterias under brand name: Hapro Bon Mua, Thuy Ta; chains of retail stores specialized in garment and textiles, household appliances, etc.; a duty-free shop as well as wholesale, distribute consumer goods.
During our one-on-one business matchmaking session, Hapro Group General Director Vu Thanh Son met with Sacramento MBDA Export Center clients to discuss business opportunities in Vietnam. The clients in attendance were R&J Toffees, Appellations Cellar, Santini Foods, To the Bay and Back Cheesecakes, Calway Foods, CJB Group, and General Produce Representative.
We are proud to house the Sacramento MBDA Export Center here at the CalAsian Chamber. We seek to identify and create export opportunities that are accessible to minority exporters by providing business matchmaking services for the clients through international outbound and inbound trade missions with international trade partners. The center also provides technical assistance and business development services to minority business enterprises (MBEs). Technical assistance services includes export consulting, access to capital, access to contract and access to global market resources.
